The caller knew all of the details of my regular monthly direct debit to a charity, my address, email, etc. This was declined one month for insufficient funds. This number asked if “so and so” was available, it was a name similar to mine but not exactly, and is often one I use to create bs spam accounts. I also called the actual company Credit Corp that they claimed to be and asked if they’ve ever called me. They hadn’t. So these people are claiming to be debt collectors but may not be.

Scam caller spoke with foreign accent phishing for personal details

this is a cam to take you money for some fake norton charge , do not call this unless you are a scam baiter and know what you are doing

Tried to call back but just kept ringing. No vm. No answer.

Said he was calling on behalf of an insurance company as I had been involved a motor vehicle accident. Would not provide the insurance company or where he got my number and he eventually hung up on me.

This is the fourth time this number has come up on my mobile -- from Branxton NSW.

I said nothing when answering. After 20 seconds someone started speaking in another language and when I didn't respond they hung up.

I tried to get a quote and this number has not stopped ringing me

They hung up immediately I picked up the phone. Looking at the comments here, it is what this caller does. I wonder if they are looking for unoccupied houses for criminal behaviours (home invasion theft, false advertising as home available for rent etc).

Said they were some fire prevention thing, thought it was legit at first till i searched the number and saw the complaints.

This unknown number has rung several times in the past few days. Suspecting that it may be scammer I have not answered it. They never leave a voicemail message. Have blocked them now.

My Telco forewarned me, SUSPECTED SCAM CALL

Caller did the whole “Telstra will not ask you for details over the phone” and then sent me a Microsoft password reset code to confirm the email account to send the details to. Trying to hack into my account clearly. I hung up.

Yes, I had the same call at our company and he asked to speak to HR. Told him to send an email and then I hung up (without giving out the email).
